Armstrong Bay and Killarney Main Beach

Sugar Gum Lane is located within walking distance from Armstrong Bay (also known as “The Basin”), one of the hidden gems of the Belfast Coastal Reserve. 

With the long white beaches, there is plenty of space for beach combing. 

Killarney Main Beach is a five minute drive. Described by the Age Newspaper as one of the five great hidden beaches, it is a “sheltered, secluded spot where all will feel right with world”.

Victoria’s largest dormant volcano is only five minutes drive away. Amazing natural flora and forna awaits around every corner. 

You can either enjoy a scenic drive through the reserve, or one of the many gentle walks. Either way, you will be sure to enjoy the native plants and animals.

10 mins away is the picturesque township of Port Fairy. The natural wonders of Griffith Island, East Beach and Pea Soup Beach awaits you! If cafes and shopping is more your style, there are plenty to entice you.

You will be just 15 minutes from the regional City of Warrnambool. Warrnambool has everything you need, from major supermarkets and chain stores, mini golf, bowls, beaches, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, indoor swimming pool, gyms, hot springs, day spas, large regional hospital, Cinema and much more.

From June to September, you will be 20 minutes from Victoria’s biggest Southern Wright Whale nursery. The mothers and calves are most active at dawn and dusk, so rug up and enjoy the spectacle from the purpose built raised platform.
